Good evening parents, this is a message from Hot Springs High School notifying you that we have been notified of a positive COVID case present on campus last week. There were no close contacts identified at school. We are following all of the necessary guidelines to keep our students and staff healthy and safe at school. As always, please continue to practice COVID safe behaviors, such as proper masking, social distancing, frequent hand washing. Also, as a friendly reminder, please do not send your child to school if they are feeling ill, or are showing any COVID symptoms, such as fever, cough, runny nose, or vomiting. These measures will help our school and classrooms to stay open and keep our community safe!

Good Evening, Tiger Families.
This is a reminder that there is no school for staff and students during Fall Break Intersession from September 27th-October 15th. The first week of Intersession is an Academic Acceleration Week from September 27th through October 1st for select students and staff only. We have extended personal invitations to students in K-8th grades who are in need of this time to work on building their literacy, numeracy, and SEL skills. Select students in grades 9-12 have been invited to work on credit recovery. We are committed to closing achievement and opportunity gaps to keep all of our Tiger students on track for on-time graduation.
The end of Quarter One is Friday, October 8th. This is the last day to submit assignments that demonstrate your level of power standards mastery in your classes.
Please take these next three weeks to rest, rejuvenate, read a book, exercise, spend time with family and friends, and enjoy the beautiful Fall weather, colors, smells, and of course…the Sierra County Fair!
Take care and be well,
Superintendent, Dr. Channell Segura
