Congratulations to Hot Springs High School’s Rotary Students of the Month, Sandra Rios and Ryan Stratton! Superintendent Channell Segura, Mrs. Marisa Guaderrama, and the TorC Rotary Club recognized these two for being TERRIFIC Tigers!
In honor of Chinese Lunar New Year 2022, the year of the “Tiger,” TCES Kindergarteners from Mrs. Glines/Mrs. Jeanne and Mrs. Gustin/Ms. Lassiter’s classes explored traditions and beliefs surrounding the celebrations and customs of the Chinese culture. Here are some of the discoveries that the students made. In Chinese culture the dragon symbolizes power, strength, and good luck. Tigers are a symbol of bravery. Red lanterns are commom and represent happiness and good luck. Families decorate with lucky red Chinese New Year Banners. Our banners represent friendship, courage, patience, love, and luck. Red envelopes filled with money are given to gain happiness, health, and good luck.
Happy Chinese Lunar New Year to all! Hoping your year is filled with friendship, love, health, happiness, and good luck!

Dear Tigers,
Due to expected precipitation coupled with a drop in temperature, we are going to have a two hour delay tomorrow (Thursday) so our busses, students, and staff can safely get to school in case the roads are icy. For students who ride the bus, you will be picked up two-hours after your normal pickup time. Stay safe and warm, Tigers!
Queridos tigres,

Our student group joined up with the T or C Litter Pickers and together we collected over 20 bags of trash. This work supports our mission of reducing violence in our school while also making our community a better place to live. We will be attending Litter Picker events on 2/13 and 4/23 as well and have many other exciting and rewarding opportunities planned for our students.
